Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Powder Brows / Microblading .

Microblading uses fine blades to create hair-like strokes ideal for sparse brows; powder brows use a shading technique for a soft filled look. Tools, application, and healed appearance differ, and each suits different skin types and desired brow styles.

Results vary by technique and skin type. Microblading often lasts 12–18 months; powder brows can last 2–3 years. Annual or biennial touch-ups maintain color and shape. Oily skin or sun exposure can shorten pigment longevity.

Most clients report mild discomfort rather than sharp pain. We apply topical anesthetic before and during the procedure to minimize sensation. Sensitivity varies; some areas may feel tender afterward, but pain is typically manageable for most people.

Expect initial darkness, minor swelling, and light scabbing for the first week. Pigment softens and settles over 4–6 weeks. Avoid water, makeup, sweating, and sun exposure during healing. A follow-up at eight weeks finalizes shape and color.

Ideal candidates want fuller, natural-looking brows or have sparse, overplucked hair. Not suitable if pregnant, breastfeeding, undergoing chemotherapy, or with certain skin diseases or keloid tendencies. A consultation reviews medical history and suitability before booking.

Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, caffeine, and intense exercise 48 hours before your appointment. Stop retinol or chemical peels one week prior. Arrive with a clean face and plan for about two hours including consultation and mapping.
